a tribute to michael jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)

today is a sad, sad day for not only the entire music industry but practically the whole world as the 'king of pop' passed away from a cardiac arrest. as i type, millions of other fans are finding a way to pay their final respects and farewells to MJ. there's been a lot of controversy lately about michael jackson thats lead to the media giving him a nickname of 'wacko jacko'. he has been doing it tough for a while, both his reputation and feelings torn by accusations of child abuse and a downfall in fans by his transformation (relying greatly on plastic surgery).

they were denied to be true, they were agreed to be true, some rumours even went through court to be depicted as truth or lies. yet there are some that still lay out there forever to be unconfirmed. what makes the heartbreak about a million times worse for fans out there is that the king of pop's tribute concerts were coming up in july, a mere month away. fans have had their tickets for months, i bet some even excitedly counting down the days until it was finally the day of the concert.

he was only fifty years old. he had family. he had friends. to all those haters out there, spare some mercy will you? it would be greatly appreciated if you kept any nasty comments or thoughts to yourself. rest in peace, jacko.

I'm not going to spend
My life being a color
Don't tell me you agree with me
When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white.

- Michael Joseph Jackson
